Scottsdale EVA is now Valley of the Sun EVA!
VOTSEVA!
Big Changes are afoot.
First, we have officially changed our chapter name from Scottsdale Electric Vehicle Association (Scottsdale EVA) to Valley of the Sun Electric Vehicle Association (Valley of the Sun EVA) or the short form, VOTSEVA. This was necessary because of the broadening of our market area—we do events all over the Valley—and our participation in events is in high demand.
Thanks to all of you, we have developed a strong reputation for putting on great events and building an engaged volunteer community. This growth has enabled us to buy additional display equipment. We now have (2) blue EVA pop-up tents and (5) feather flags and will be purchasing another set soon. The additional tents and feather flags allow us to conduct multiple events on weekends in different parts of the Valley.
Our web address is now ValleyoftheSunEVA.org and we are working on making our website more engaging and informative. For example, EVents is now WATTS HAPPENING and our monthly EVs and Espresso meetups are now Monthly RALLIES. The website will eventually have links to buyer tools, EV education sites, and current news.

October Rally: Meet and Drive
On October 28th, we meet up in Anthem from 8a-9am, followed by (2) group drives at 9:30a… one group to Arcosanti, and a second group to go off-road to Crown King. We have a special guest – a Fisker Ocean One. Come check it out!

National Drive Electric Week
The Phoenix NDEW event on 9/30 was electrifying! With over 60 vehicles, 20 vendors, 230+ rides given and hundreds of participants, it was an event for the ages.

Automakers adopting NACS
More EV manufacturers are adopting Tesla’s NACS charging standard, with only a few holding out (for now). Electrify America and Chargepoint will be adding NACS connectors to their charging network.
