Sagewood Car Show Highlights the Future of Electric Mobility
DRIVE Electric Arizona was proud to participate in the Sagewood Senior Living Community car show in North Phoenix, where five electric vehicles were featured as part of a special EV showcase. Residents had the opportunity to explore a diverse lineup, including a Kia Niro EV, Kia EV6, Lucid Air, Cadillac Lyriq, and Rivian R1S.
The invitation came with a personal touch: John Morrill, DRIVE Electric Arizona board member, was encouraged to participate by his mother—herself a Sagewood resident and proud owner of the Kia Niro EV. Her enthusiasm helped spark conversations throughout the event, drawing in neighbors curious to learn more about life with an electric vehicle.
Throughout the afternoon, many seniors stopped by to ask thoughtful questions and engage in meaningful discussions. Most conversations centered on safety, convenience, and how EVs can make daily driving easier and more comfortable. From quiet operation and advanced driver-assistance features to home charging and reduced maintenance needs, attendees were eager to understand the practical benefits EVs offer.
The event was a wonderful example of how community engagement can bridge generations and bring EV education to new audiences. DRIVE Electric Arizona thanks Sagewood for the warm welcome and looks forward to future opportunities to support residents in exploring electric mobility.
