Tree Planting with Arizona Sustainability Alliance

On Friday, October 25th, Valley of the Sun EVA partnered with the Arizona Sustainability Alliance to showcase an electric vehicle display at a tree planting event at El Oso Park in Maryvale. Many members of the community, SRP, City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation, public officials and other sustainability-minded groups came together for this wonderful event.

The natural shade and cooling effects of trees in urban environments are extremely impactful to the local community. Lowering ambient temperatures, improving air quality and health outcomes are all huge benefits of urban forests. 

In the end, a total of 67 trees were planted in this beautiful park.
