EV Road Trip Day 44

We drove to Montreal today and will stay in Old Montréal for three nights at the Auberge du Vieux Port. Formerly a 19th-century warehouse, Auberge du Vieux-Port is a boutique hotel in Old Montréal, featuring a rooftop terrace. Located on Saint Paul Street on one side and the St. Lawrence River on the other, it is close to the Old Port of Montreal, Victoria Square, and to the downtown of Montréal. The hotel pays homage to the city’s illustrious past – with original brick and stone walls, old oak floors, and casement windows looking out onto St. Paul Street. A Tesla Supercharger is just a few blocks away.

Montreal is regularly ranked as a top ten city in the world to be a university student in the QS World University Rankings. In 2006 Montreal was named a UNESCO City of Design, one of only four design capitals in North America (the others being in Mexico).

The Underground City (officially RESO) is a set of interconnected shopping complexes (both above and below ground). This impressive network connects pedestrian thoroughfares to universities, as well as hotels, restaurants, bistros, subway stations and more, in and around downtown with 20 miles of tunnels over 4.6 sq mi of the most densely populated part of Montreal.
