6000 Mile EV Road Trip - Stay 4

Park City, Utah • June 21-22, 2024

Written by John Martinson

Our drive from Sorrel River Ranch to Park City, Utah, took us to US-191 from Green River (“apparently” the watermelon capital of the US – see photo) and the location of a John Wesley Powell Museum to Helper, Utah, which was so ironic because coming over the mountains from Helper to Provo took us through a challenging heavy hailstorm (all cars and 18-wheelers had to find some place to get off the road for about 20+ minutes), but we made it thanks to Suzanne’s steady driving. (No hail damage to our car, thankfully.)

We arrived safely in Park City at the Marriott Hotel Park City Autograph around 5:30 PM and discovered that the hotel had an in-room washer and dryer, offering us the opportunity to wash our laundry (an unexpected and welcome amenity). We had a fun dinner with long-time Phoenix friend, J’Lein Liese, at Twisted Fern – so great to catch up!
