EV Road Trip Day 50
Drove from Ottawa to Toronto today with Eco sharing some of the driving. Toronto had a recorded population of 2,794,356 in 2021, and is therefore the most populous city in Canada and the fourth most populous city in North America. We entered the city during rush hour and everything moved more efficiently than one would imagine. Impressive for such a large city. The key, in my view, was its expressway system, which provided between four and eight lanes, where one could drive easily without lots of ingress and egress, so traffic moved efficiently.
After cocktails, we went out for outstanding authentic Italian fare at Carisma, a popular family-run outfit just blocks from our hotel, the Royal York.
The architecture of the city is extraordinary…quite a spectacle, day and night.
